Your deposits are insured to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). This strong, well-reserved insurance fund is administered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an independent agency of the United States government. Generally, your combined deposits in California Coast CU savings and checking accounts are added together and insured to $100,000. However, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are insured separately from your other California Coast deposits - up to an additional $100,000 by the NCUA.
