Thank You for Your Service

This Veterans Day, we'd like to share some of of the stories of those individuals in our Cal Coast family that have served our beautiful country.

These are just a couple of our stories. We appreciate all employees, staff and Cal Coast members that have served or currently serve. The sacrifices and devotion to protecting us does not go unrecognized. Thank you from all of us, not only on Veterans Day, but every day we get to enjoy the freedoms you protect.

Napoleon Patacsil, Cal Coast Encinitas Branch Security Guard

Napoleon served as a United States Army Medic with a combined 40 years served in the US Army, Army Reserve and the National Guard. He was drafted during the Vietnam War and served two tours in Iraq.

He comes to work on time every day with a big smile. He enjoys small talk with the members and opens the door for each and every person when they enter and leave the branch. Members have stated they feel valued due to his “VIP treatment.” He goes above and beyond the call of duty by keeping the branch managers and staff well aware of the activities and people in the branch shopping center. Napoleon is part of Team Encinitas and the Cal Coast Family. We are proud to have him here keeping us safe!

Conrad Rodriguez III, Director, Branch Network

Conrad served in the United State Marine Corps from 2000-2005. He was a helicopter weapons and tactics instructor on CH-53Es.  He was stationed locally at Miramar for most of his service, but also served a year in Okinawa, Japan and one tour in Iraq in 2004.

Conrad has been with Cal Coast Credit Union for just over 5 years. He started as the East Village Branch Manager, helping open the branch. In 2019, he was promoted to Director of Branch Network. Conrad is in charge of our internal Wave Riders team, organizing engaging and interactive activities and events for employees and staff. He is also a member of the Cal Coast Inclusion Council.
