Individuality Makes Us Stronger

Our backgrounds, experiences and opinions are what make us unique. At Cal Coast, we embrace a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion in all that we do, both internally and in the communities we serve.

Diversity. Equity. Inclusion.

Our performance, happiness and attitudes are shaped by the ability to be our authentic selves. Cal Coast makes a conscious effort to choose diversity in the people we hire, the partners we work alongside and the communities we serve.

We Celebrate and Honor You

In 2019, we officially established our accelerated commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Cal Coast. Our DEI program goes far beyond a public statement or hiring more employees from differing racial backgrounds. We are fully committed to ensuring each and every human being we interact with, both professionally and personally, feels honored and celebrated. This includes our employees, staff, members, vendors and community partners. We want to make sure our people are heard because their beliefs, ideas and unique skills are not only valuable, but vital to the success of our credit union.

Inclusion Council

Our Inclusion Council works directly with the D&I leadership team to improve our corporate efforts around diversity and inclusion.

Diversity Events & Committees

Employees and staff are encouraged to join a committee or champion an event that is personal to them and their heritage or unique identity. These events are open to all and encourage us to learn, grow and see new perspectives through the lens of another. We encourage diversity champions to share their stories by creating a video that can be shared with others at Cal Coast and in the community.

While we are brought together by commonness of purpose, the differences in each of us are embraced as they bring value to the organization and those we serve. We are borne out of the communities around us and therefore we are the community. - Todd Lane, CEO

Employee Resource Group

Women of the Workforce (WOW)

Cal Coast's newest Employee Resource Group, Women of the Workforce (WOW), was spearheaded in March 2022 by two women leaders at the credit union.

WOW's co-chairs Barb Krol, Chief Human Resource Officer, and Antonia Luna, SVP of Operations, were driven to start this group to represent the 354 women who are employed at Cal Coast and they're deeply committed to the continued development for all women so that they may attain their hopes and dreams.

WOW's mission is to honor the diversity of women at Cal Coast Credit Union by recognizing that we are better when we build community and empower one another. The group's vision is to cultivate an environment that supports and encourages women to advance their skills and leadership potential through connection, collaboration and education.
